आदि काली ध्यान  •  Adi Kaali Dhyan

There is a particular silence at 4:48 in the morning at the ghat.

Pratikraman Retreats. Three a year. Twenty seats each. The luxury is the silence.

There is a particular silence at 4:48 AM at the ghat. The mist has not yet lifted. The first bell of the day has not yet rung.

This is the silence the Pratikraman retreats are built around. The school does not take the practitioner to a luxury spa. It does not call this a wellness retreat. There is no sound bath.

The retreats happen, three times a year, in three settings chosen for one quality — they are quiet enough that, by the third morning, the practitioner cannot hide from themselves.

◇ ◇ ◇

The three retreats of the year

March • Aravallis • 7 days

The Spring Sitting

For first-time retreatants. Includes the formal initiation into Kaalika Kriya. The chart of every participant is read by Rajesh ji during the week. The arc is gentle and complete.

July • Himalayan foothills • 7 days

The Monsoon Deepening

For students who have completed at least 90 days of Kaalika Kriya. Deeper Gita work — chapters 8, 11, 13. PLR sessions available for those for whom they are indicated.

December • Varanasi • 10 days

The Winter Descent

By invitation only. A private dharamshala on the riverfront. The deepest work — for advanced students and the small circle of practitioners Rajesh Pandey personally mentors.

A typical day at the retreat

04:45
Wake. Warm water. No phone.
05:30 – 06:15
Kaalika Kriya, led by Rajesh ji on a private terrace.
06:30 – 07:30
Silent walk. Tea on return.
08:00 – 09:00
Sattvic breakfast, in silence.
10:00 – 12:30
Gita teaching, tailored to the cohort.
13:00 – 14:30
Lunch, then a long rest.
15:30 – 18:00
Private session — astrology, PLR, or counselling — rotating across the week. While one participant is in session, others read, walk, or rest.
18:30 – 20:00
Sandhya — group meditation, then satsang. Open questions to Rajesh ji.
20:00 – 21:00
Light dinner, in silence. Early sleep.

What is included

  • Single-occupancy accommodation in a setting selected for silence and lineage.
  • All sattvic meals, prepared by a private cook on a meditator’s eating rhythm.
  • Daily Kaalika Kriya led by Rajesh Pandey — never a recorded track.
  • Daily Gita teaching, tailored to the cohort’s collective question.
  • One private session with Rajesh ji during the retreat.
  • All teaching materials, a printed cohort journal, and a hand-pressed Kaalika seal at completion.
  • Continued post-retreat WhatsApp access to the cohort for ninety days.

What is not included

  • Travel to the retreat venue. Private car arrangements can be made through the school’s concierge desk, at cost.
  • Any spa, wellness, or ‘luxury’ add-ons. This is a retreat, not a holiday. The luxury is the silence.

Investment

Each retreat is priced to reflect the work, the setting, and the intimacy of the group. Pricing is shared on application, which is reviewed personally by Rajesh ji before a place is offered. The school has, on occasion, declined applications — most often because the timing was not right. It will always say so directly.

Apply for the next Pratikraman retreat.

Applications open ninety days before each retreat. Early applications are reviewed first. Twenty seats. No waiting list is published.
