ज्योतिष • The Light-Knowing
Your chart is not a forecast. It is a confession — written by your soul, before it agreed to be born.
Astrology — A Walk Towards Pratikraman. Not prediction, but the map of the soul's purpose.
Most people who come to astrology in India come for one of two reasons. They want to know when something will happen — a marriage, a child, a promotion. Or why something has not — a marriage that refused to arrive, a business that refused to grow. Both are valid questions. Neither is the question Pratikraman is interested in.
The question the school teaches you to ask is older and quieter: why did my soul choose this chart? What did I come here to do, that this particular set of circumstances was the most efficient vehicle for? And what, in this lifetime, am I refusing to do?
“Astrology, properly read, is not the future. It is the confession of your past — visible in the geometry of your present.”
— Rajesh Pandey
The Axis of Destiny
Almost every astrologer in India will tell you that the 6th, 8th and 12th houses are inauspicious — insult, struggle, loss, separation. They are read as bad luck, and the client is sent home with a gemstone. This, with respect to the tradition, is a misreading. These are not the houses of bad luck. They are the houses of transformation — and together with the 2nd house, they form what the school calls the Axis of Destiny.
| 6 | The Sixth House | Competition, daily work, the small humiliations of being a professional, the daily disciplines. |
| 8 | The Eighth House | Fear, the hidden, the occult, inheritance, sexuality, research — the work behind the curtain. |
| 12 | The Twelfth House | Loss, foreign lands, hospitals, monasteries, divine worship, moksha, liberation. |
| 2 | The Second House | Immediate family, finances, the impact of your voice, what you have materially inherited — the anchor point. |
“The soul, in choosing its chart, chose its difficulties on purpose. The chart is the curriculum. Astrology is the reading list. Your life is the classroom.”
The course — A Walk Towards Pratikraman
A three-stage course, taught live by Rajesh ji, that takes a serious student from beginner to confident chart-reader in nine months.
Stage I — Foundation 3 months
- Why the modern West reduced astrology to entertainment — and how Indian astrology must be reclaimed.
- Faith, karma, therapy, awareness — the four lenses through which a chart is read.
- स्थान, काल, पात्र — the three coordinates of any incarnation.
- The twelve Rashis and their lords; the twelve houses and their feelings.
- Planet traits, lower and higher expressions. Why Saturn is not your enemy and Jupiter is not your friend.
- Aspects, the Axis of Destiny, and Saturn as the planet of karma.
Stage II — Application 3 months
- Reading the chart of the self — the Lagna, the soul, the swabhav.
- Reading the charts of immediate family — and not being shaken by what you see.
- Dasha periods — the timing of karmic ripening.
- Transits — Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu, Ketu — and the practical question of when.
- Reading professional life, and reading relationships: why social media has changed the psychology of the seventh house in a single generation.
Stage III — Mastery & Pratikraman 3 months
- The chart as a confession of past lives — reading the karmic backlog.
- Integrating astrology with Kaalika Kriya — using the chart to design the daily practice.
- Integrating astrology with the Gita — which chapter the chart most demands the client read.
- Counselling the client — how to deliver hard truths without harm.
- Capstone: each student presents a full reading of one client, supervised by Rajesh Pandey.
